eINTEROP / myShipVI™

The eINTEROP product suite, composed of a graphical interface called myShipVI™ and the Interoperability Framework, allows users to quickly access related data from multiple software systems for large complex products such as ships, aircraft, tanks and missiles. myShipVI™ uses Global Majic's first generation rendering component, 3DLinX, to drive the 3D graphics display.

The myShipVI™ user interface incorporates drawings, photographs, 3D CAD models, to create a precise rendering of the product allowing users to virtually move about and retrieve information through a point and click technique. The myShipVI™ provides users with a single point of access to all relevant data contained within back-end database systems. Global Majic's MajicStudio technology has been used to provide an easy to use, graphically driven interface to quickly and easily edit the 3D visual representation of the models incorporated within eINTEROP.

LPD 17 class pre-commissioning units (PCU) sites in Norfolk, Virginia; San Diego, California; and New Orleans, Louisiana, currently employ the eINTEROP system, which was originally developed to provide a graphical support interface to the LPD 17 Integrated Product Data Environment.

The eINTEROP design incorporates user feedback and requirements captured from several design for ownership workshops, PCU users, and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) personnel. By using a proven methodology to record ship configuration data and drawings, eINTEROP is readily adaptable to any Navy ship, as well as other complex products.
