Media Toolkit

Every application created using MajicStudio is inherently a movie production platform using the MajicStudio Media Toolkit component. Media Toolkit is tightly integrated with the Scene Generator render engine to maximize video and image capture quality. Any MajicStudio application automatically becomes a rich content source for publicity material in video and print image formats.

Media Toolkit efficiently captures production quality video clips at DV, HD or other custom resolutions. High resolution print quality images can be produced in custom formats from any MajicStudio produced application. Media Toolkit provides MajicStudio producers with services and tool windows that drive the capture process. The producer has the flexibility to specify frame rate, resolution, file format, compression and other capture parameters. Media Toolkit also allows the management of file system specifications including file names, directories and capture file size allocations.

Media Toolkit allows two capture modes, pre-scripted and interactive. In pre-scripted mode, the MajicStudio application is configured to control all scene movement and Media Toolkit is activated to capture video. Pre-scripted mode allows the Scene Generator render engine locking to avoid the dropping of frames to produce the highest quality video. Interactive video capture mode allows producers to interact with the application while simultaneously capturing video, providing producer flexibility to create custom video clips very rapidly. In interactive mode the video quality is directly related to the capture hardware, while in pre-scripted mode the highest quality video can be produced using lower quality hardware.
